Journey or 3rd Year Apprentice Lineworker

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team and provide electric distribution maintenance services to the City of Luverne.

MRES is an organization of 61 member municipalities that own and operate their own electrical distribution systems. In this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the City of Luverne’s municipal electric utility distribution systems in a safe and efficient manner. You will play an active role in the operation, construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of the city’s electrical distribution systems and associated equipment, and as customer energy needs continue to evolve, so too will your role.

Journey and apprentice lineworker requirements:

  • Education: One-year power line program (minimum)
  • Active driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a CDL endorsement within six months
  • CPR-certified
  • Reside within 15 minutes of Luverne

Additional journey lineworker requirements:

  • Journey lineworker designation
  • Four years of experience in the operation, construction, reconstruction and maintenance of electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
